RIVER VALLEY SHELTER

💔 When Funding Fades, Survivors Lose Safety - You Can Change That

River Valley Shelter has been a lifeline for women and children escaping domestic violence for more than 35 years. Every night, survivors find safety, compassion, and a path forward within our walls.

This year, drastic cuts to federal funding have placed that mission at risk. Without community support, the very services that save lives-safe shelter, advocacy, food, and counseling, could disappear.

We are asking our neighbors, businesses, and friends to stand with us. Every dollar helps keep families safe and reminds survivors that they are not alone.

Together, we can keep hope alive in the River Valley.

The River Valley Shelter is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization providing shelter, services, and support to adults and children fleeing domestic violence situations. Our mission is to empower survivors and our community to break the cycle of domestic violence by nurturing practices of self-determination and courage, promoting healthy relationships, and compassion through our holistic advocacy and trauma-informed services.
